Mike holds a 100 ton U.S. Coast Guard Captain's license. Insured. He grew up fishing the water's of the Gulf of Mexico. Mike is experienced in working the bottom of the Gulf, finding some of the best breaks and ledges that hold some of the nicest fish, that even seasoned boaters would pass by. Captain Mike will teach anglers different techniques when catching a variety of fish in the Gulf. Even the seasoned pro we have aboard the boat appreciates a good tip. By the end of the day, the novice fisherman feel like a pro.

Included with your photo tour that we upload to our site each day the fishing adventure also includes the license, bait, tackle and fish filleted in a bag of ice at the end of the day. Captain Mike uses all custom rods for each fish we target. (Grouper rod, Kingfish rod, Cobia rod, Snapper rod, Key West Grunt rod, etc). All Coast Guard certified life vests on board. Epirb (emergency tracking system). Use electronic devices such as GPS, track plotter, fish finder, and VHF radio. For your convenience the boat is equipped with a private restroom.

Even The Most Novice Angler Will Feel Like A Pro

The day starts with a relaxing boat ride up the Pithalachascotee River to the Gulf of Mexico. We pass thru about a dozen stilt water homes about 1 1/2 miles off shore. One of which was Johnny Cash's favorite place to visit. On the 18 to 20 mile ride off the shore it is scenic with Dolphin watching, sea turtles and a variety of birds. Once we arrive at our destination, the captain will position the boat so the angler is fishing on the ledge. This is where the fishing experience begins. We will target deep sea species such as Grouper, Mango Snapper, Cobia, Bonita, Kingfish, Key West Grunt and Shark.

This Aint No Small Boat

This 36' Seahawk offers a completely dry ride. How? To start we got 2 inboard catapillar motors. That makes the trip much quieter too. The fellas offering $299 trips with smaller boats and outboard engines will get you wet while you bounce around like a cork getting to your destination. Theres also plenty of room for 6 adults to fish from the beam (rear deck) of the Seahawk. It is 14' wide and completely covered with a hard shell fiberglass canopy.

My boat is stocked with professional fishing gear for all kinds of fish. Safety equiptment includes lifejackets and the EPRIB (emergency tracking system). And finally I use electronic devices such as GPS, track plotter, fish finder, and VHF radio to find the best fishing locations.
